About Us

Personalized care for your unique needs. Now with direct access – no referral needed.

At Brewer Physical Therapy in Shreveport, Bossier City and Minden, Louisiana, we know that when one part of you is out of balance, it can affect every area of your life. Our individualized treatment plans are designed to help you regain your strength, restore function, and discover new levels of health and vitality. Here at Brewer Physical Therapy, we are committed to bringing you a comprehensive, hands-on quality of care available.

We also know that you are unique – and so is your pain or impairment. That’s why we take a personalized, one-on-one approach to your care. For one thing, you’ll always be seen by your physical therapist, not an aide. We take the time to get to know you and your challenges so that week by week we can track your progress and partner with you on your road to recovery.

Our therapists are the most experienced physical therapists providers of Trigger Point Dry Needling in the state of Louisiana as well as certified providers of Active Release Technique®.

Active Release Technique® (or ART®) is a patented manual therapy technique that corrects soft tissue restrictions that lead to pain and decreased mobility. The treatment is actually a movement based massage technique that allows providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient.

Conditions that respond well to ART include repetitive use injuries, frozen shoulder, tendinopathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff pathology, restricted joint motion and sprains/ strains. Usually a patient will see significant results within just a few visits and results are permanent. ART is not only the treatment of choice for high performance athletes and workers' compensation managers, but also for top sports medicine physicians in the tri-state area.

Our Commitment to Quality Care

We are a quality-care provider, honored to be a part of the Physical Therapy Provider Network (PTPN). This network consists of private practice therapists across the country that sets high standards for their providers, including clinical expertise, professional ethics, and a commitment to maintain independence as a provider in order to optimize patient outcomes.

We use Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (FOTO) to predict patients outcomes, giving patients a better understanding of how well treatment will help, as well as manage quality. FOTO helps us ensure our patients achieve a higher level of change in function after treatment.

Direct Access

As of June 2016, Louisiana became the 38th state to allow direct access to physical therapy. This means you may seek physical therapy treatment without having to first see your primary care provider, chiropractor, or specialist. We are now able to evaluate whether you need physical therapy and provide the prescribed treatment without a referral.
